  1. AmNet is here - The Network of the future dedicated to AMIGA users and
  2. enthusiasts.

  4. AmNet was started because there was a large space for a network which
  5. caters for Amiga Users and offers amiga of echoes. Of course there is
  6. Amiganet, but that - in my area in particular - was/is not very well
  7. coordinatored. The Coordinators of AmNet believe that Amiga Users out there
  8. want a defined and moderatored network. People have constantly criticised
  9. Fidonet - there is little reason to do so. It is superior to any other
  10. similar network around at the moment, and I am happy with it and Amiganet
  11. and indeed all the 12 networks I am in. Yet there are no nets which manage
  12. to cover the topics I WANT and LIKE with the control and ability to work
  13. well that other nets have. Therefore AmNet was introduced.

  28. AmCoords       Amiga Coordinators!
  29. AmWILD         Wild Chat on anything!!

  33. All these echoes with the exception of AmWild are moderatored. The general
  34. policy in all echoes is to allow HI-ASCII, but not handles. The moderators
  35. of each individual echo will post rules in them to inform the users of the
  36. exact rules. At the moment there are active mail feeds for all over
  37. Britain, and we're looking to expand abroad... At present around 40-50
  38. messages pass through it daily, and are topics bothe serious and
  39. non-serious.
